Required Submission Materials
To give your child the best shot, you’ll need to gather a few essential materials. Here’s what’s required for a complete submission:
•Two Headshots/Snapshots: Make sure you have both commercial and theatrical looks ready!
•Casting Profile Link: Preferably from Actors Access or Casting Networks.
•Video of Acting Skill: This can be a reel, self-tape, or any clips that show your child’s talents.
•Slate Video: A quick intro to let talent reps see your child’s personality shine.
Pro tip: If you’re feeling overwhelmed about assembling your child’s submission package, we’ve got a workshop just for you.
Submission Workshop: Make Your Child’s Materials Stand Out!
Before you hit submit, consider attending our Parent Workshop:
“Attention-Grabbing Submission Packages”
•Date: November 11th at 5:30 PM Pacific
•Price: $25
•Format: Live interactive online class with feedback on your child’s submission materials.
This workshop is designed to help parents refine their child’s casting profiles, headshots, and video submissions to grab the attention of talent agents and managers. It’s limited to 25 participants, so act fast!
How to Submit
Participation in the Open Call is open to all Child Actor 101 members. A submission link will be provided through the community soon. If there’s an issue—like a broken link—our admins will contact you.
What Happens Next?
After submitting, your child’s materials will be available for review by a variety of youth talent reps. While some agents may reach out within a couple of weeks, others might follow up months later—so patience is key! Remember, each submission is a step toward visibility.

FAQs: Quick Answers
1. Who can submit?
Any member of Child Actor 101 can participate—there’s no extra registration required.
2. Which casting profiles are accepted?
Actors Access and Casting Networks are preferred, but others are accepted as long as the links work.
3. Will we receive feedback on submissions?
No, submissions won’t receive individual feedback unless there’s a technical issue with your materials.
4. Can we see a list of the participating talent reps?
We understand that parents are curious about who will be reviewing their child’s submission. However, we don’t provide a list of participating talent reps for a couple of important reasons:
A. Privacy of the Reps: Many reps prefer not to have their contact information shared publicly to avoid being overwhelmed with follow-up calls and inquiries.
B. Submission Timing: While your child’s materials will be accessible to a variety of top-tier youth talent reps, we can’t guarantee that every rep is actively seeking new clients or the specific type of talent your child offers at this time.
That said, rest assured that the scope and quality of our participating reps are unmatched—far beyond what any similar no-cost program offers. This open call is a fantastic chance to get your child in front of agents and managers who may not otherwise be accessible.
5. How long does it take to hear back from agents or managers?
It varies. Some may reach out within a few weeks, while others might contact you months later.
6. Are the workshop and Two Scenes Program required for the open call?
Not at all! They’re optional, but they can provide a significant boost to your child’s submission materials and confidence.
Submit, Wait, and Shine!
The Online Representation Open Call is a wonderful opportunity to introduce your child to a wide network of youth talent reps. Whether you join the Parent Workshop or enroll in the Two Scenes Program, or simply submit your child’s materials as-is, this is a great way to take a meaningful step forward in their acting journey.
Good luck to all our young stars—and parents, thank you for being the driving force behind your child’s dreams!
